International GS Trophy Offroad Training

This year, Belgium and Luxembourg will participate for the first time in the Pre-Qualifier and the Qualifier of the International GS Trophy that will take place in Namibia in 2024. A unique event where like-minded BMW GS Offroad pilots can compete against each other during various tests.

An event not aimed at professional pilots but accessible to every passionate off-road pilot. Participation is also possible with basic off-road experience. In addition, the tests are carried out with various BMW GS models that are made available to you at the test itself.

​

The first step is the Pre-Qualifiers which will take place in Loon op Zand in the Netherlands on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 July 2023.

80 participants from Belgium/Luxembourg and 80 participants from the Netherlands compete against each other to be among the best 20 who then advance to the Qualifiers in Wales.

​

The challenge is getting bigger, the tests more technical, the skills more thorough because...  if you are one of the 3 winners among the BeNeLux participants, you belong to the select club that can take on the challenge in 2024 in Namibia to compete against the best 3 from various other countries. The top of the bill among amateur off-road pilots.

SCHEDULE:

  • July 21 and 22, 2023: Pre-Qualifier in Loon op Zand where we select 20 GS riders to transfer to Qualifiers.
     

  • September 8 and 10, 2023: Qualifier in Walter's Arena, UK where we will form our BENELUX men's and women's team.
     

  • In 2024 we will leave together for the Int. GS Trophy in Namibia!

Int. GS Trophy TRAINING:
Everything is prepared... that's why we organize a unique 2-day with BackTrailInt. GS Trophy training that prepares you for the better job. We set up similar tests and under the professional guidance of BMW Certified Offroad Instructors we hone your offroad skills and give you the necessary tips and tricks from our own experience of participating in various Int. GS Trophy Qualifier.

The GS Trophy Training is a 2-day training in Belgium where we give training on day 1 at our site in Geraardsbergen and go to the Liège region for day 2 to learn the necessary slope skills. We end with a solid off-road ride in the Ardennes.

 

To guarantee the individual approach, we limit the group to a maximum of 6 participants. Places are therefore limited !!
 


Engine:

You participate with your own BMW GS with studded tires (required!). If you would like to do this training on a rental motorcycle with studded tires, you can rent a BMW F 850 GS(a) or R 1250 GS(a) from us.

Price:

For the 2-day training you pay € 475 per person including coffee, drinks, lunch and a unique BackTrail MX-Shirt !!
If you prefer not to follow the training with your GS or if you would like to drive the latest new GS models, you can contact us for a rental motorcycle with studded tires
